This townhouse was purchased by a hip and trendy single professional who wanted a "New York loft" look and feel to her 3-story townhouse.

The original interior had good bones with solid maple floors, espresso wood cabinets and granite countertops.  I used those as the jumping-off point for the remainder of the design - using dark, peaceful, earthy colors in the main living space along with a sleek, urban pendant light in the dining room for that New York loft feel.

The walls were painted a custom khaki green and the fireplace was painted a charcoal grey to offset the artwork.  A unexpected pop of color adorns the guest bathroom in a deep, warm orange - the duende design signature color!

Texture and warmth were incorporated with the use of a funky orange cotton shag rug in the living room along with fur throws on the sleek, metropolitan cream leather sectional.

A stunning glass teardrop and black silk pendant light anchors the dining room.

On the third floor we selected the peaceful, spa-like colors of aqua, citron and espresso for the master and guest bedrooms as well as the ensuite.

All in all, this townhouse is warm, welcoming, urban, edgy and sexy just like it's owner!

When the owner decided to sell we edited the home by packing 1/3 of her belongings and putting them into storage.  This home went on the market at 9 pm and the first person to view it the next morning made an offer, well over asking price.......that is the result of a well-staged home.

This pendant light was the clincher on the sale of this home, so don't underestimate the power of quality lighting!
